The latest reunion between Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie is officially set to hit screens. Netflix has announced Dogfight, the seventh film collaboration between the action star and the director, continuing their two-decade partnership in London’s criminal underworld.
Seventh Collaboration in Two Decades
Statham and Ritchie first teamed up in 1998 with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, a film that launched Statham into the spotlight. Since then, the pair have delivered a string of commercial projects, including Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man, and most recently Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre in 2023. According to Deadline, Dogfight will be their seventh joint effort, with production slated to begin in early 2027 in the UK.
Cast and Creative Team
The film is described as a “stylish revenge actioner” set against the backdrop of the London criminal underworld. Guy Ritchie is attached to write, direct, and produce, alongside Statham, Ivan Atkinson, and John Friedberg. Production companies include Black Bear Pictures, Toff Guy Films, and Punch Palace Productions. The cast features Statham alongside Vinnie Jones and Jason Isaacs, both of whom have previously worked with Ritchie and Statham on earlier films such as Snatch and Lock, Stock.
Production and Distribution
Netflix has acquired distribution rights for Dogfight, with filming scheduled to commence in early 2027. While plot details remain under wraps, the film continues the duo’s tradition of exploring con artists, card sharps, and armored truck drivers within the London setting that defined their earliest work.
Statham is also set to appear in the meta-comedy Jason Statham Stole My Bike, a separate project described as a stylized take on his own action-hero persona. That film is slated for a 2027 release and will see Statham embracing a heightened, self-aware version of himself.
