Clarksons Farm star Kaleb Cooper reveals wedding battle with fianc\u00e9e Taya

LONDON, June 28 — The record shows that Kaleb Cooper, the 27-year-old farm manager and breakout star of Clarkson’s Farm, has disclosed the first details of his forthcoming summer wedding to fiancée Taya Wilkinson. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Cooper confirmed the couple are planning an imminent ceremony, though he acknowledged that the bulk of the preparations have fallen to Wilkinson. “I want to say I’m really hands on but that’s a lie,” Cooper told the publication.

“I can’t really say that, it is Taya that has done the majority of it.” According to the interview, the couple share three children: Oscar, age five; Willa, age three; and Ashton, whose birth the couple announced last August. Cooper described the wedding as a shared dream, but acknowledged a specific point of contention over the ceremony’s aesthetic.

“It’s both of our dreams to get married,” Cooper said.

“But Taya is very much like ‘I want it in a certain way, I want my dress to be a certain way’, which is good.” He added: “I think everyone should have that in their life and go, right, if you’re going to get married, it’s a very special day for everybody, family included, so therefore you’ve got to have your own say of how you want it to go.” The tension, sources familiar with the couple’s planning indicate, centers on Cooper’s insistence on including farming machinery in the proceedings.

“I want tractors there, I want foragers there,” Cooper stated, “but Taya’s like I don’t really want tractors there if I’m being honest.” Cooper, who rose to global fame as the gilet-wearing sidekick to Jeremy Clarkson on the Amazon series Clarkson’s Farm, has been referred to by his 66-year-old boss as “the foetus.” The show, now in its fifth series, has propelled the Cotswolds farm manager into a realm of celebrity where his private life—including a wedding from which viewers have never seen Wilkinson on television, nor Cooper in a suit—has become a subject of keen curiosity.

On the timeline of the couple’s relationship, the wedding represents a formalization of a partnership that has already produced three children. Wilkinson has remained largely out of the public eye, a fact that has only heightened interest in the summer ceremony. Cooper, for his part, appears to be navigating the classic pre-wedding compromise between personal preference and partnership.

The interview suggests that while Cooper is willing to defer to Wilkinson on many aspects of the planning, his attachment to agricultural machinery represents a line he is not prepared to cede entirely. The tractors and foragers he wants present are, by his own account, a point of friction.

Whether the final guest list will include any of the Clarkson’s Farm cast or crew remains unconfirmed. What is clear from the record is that Cooper views the day as significant not only for himself and Wilkinson, but for their extended families. “You’ve got to have your own say of how you want it to go,” he said.

The wedding is expected to take place this summer. Further details on the venue, date, and the resolution of the tractor dispute have not been made public.
