Veteran Taiwanese singer Chyi Chin will perform a live concert at Resorts World Genting on 24 October 2026, bringing his extensive catalogue of Mandarin rock and pop hits to audiences in the Genting Highlands area, roughly an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur. The show adds to the venue’s long-running calendar of Chinese-language concerts, which regularly draws fans from across Malaysia and neighbouring countries.
What can audiences expect?
Chyi Chin, known for a career spanning several decades, has built a following on emotionally charged ballads and rock-inflected numbers. Concertgoers can expect a full live band performance in the resort’s purpose-built show venue, which hosts both local and international acts throughout the year. As set lists and guest performers are typically confirmed closer to the date, attendees should check official channels for updates nearer the time.
How do I get to Resorts World Genting?
The resort sits in the Genting Highlands, a hill station north-east of Kuala Lumpur. Most visitors arrive by road, either by car or by coach and shuttle services that depart from various points in the Klang Valley. Public transport users can take the LRT or MRT to a connecting station and transfer to bus services heading to the resort, or use the cable car system that links the lower and upper resort areas. Journey times vary with traffic, and the winding mountain road can be slow on weekends and public holidays.
What should I plan for?
Genting Highlands is cooler than Kuala Lumpur, so a light jacket is advisable for the evening. Visitors travelling from the city should allow extra time for the climb and consider the return journey after the show, as late-night transport options are more limited. Tickets and entry arrangements should be confirmed through official channels. Further details on the concert are expected to be released closer to the event date.
