BANGKOK, June 27 — International human rights lawyer Amal Clooney acknowledged this month that her marriage to actor George Clooney forced her to navigate a new tension between her professional identity and public visibility, according to remarks she made at a Cartier Dialogues event in Bangkok. Speaking at the event earlier this month, Clooney, 48, described how the boundaries she had maintained between her work and personal life collapsed after she married the Ocean’s Eleven actor, 65, in 2014.
“I used to have my work life and my personal life, and they could look quite different, and I was able to not have them mix and then I got married and that changed quite a lot,” Clooney said, according to a People article published Friday, June 26. So I don’t feel like I have to apologize for it or rein it in,” she told the outlet.
